Safety Team

At Journey, we want to create a safe space for people to worship, fellowship and grow in Christ. Unfortunately, we live in a world that seeks to harm others, and as a church we have to take precautions and do our utmost to keep all those on our campus safe. But, it is also important that while we desire to keep everyone safe, we also do not want to carry an aggressive tone as we serve.

This service role is about placing others above ourselves, and standing in the gap, becoming the first line of defense if an incident occurs. This role is also to run point should we have a medical emergency, or a problem in Journey Kids or Journey Students, or if we have an aggressor on our campus.

We are aware that we cannot 100% prevent any incident ever occurring, but we should be prepared to intervene should the need arise.
