Care Ministry


Caring and praying for people is such a vital part of any congregation.   Our church, the body of Christ, was created by God to be just that... a  body,  a  family  of  brothers  and  sisters  in  Christ  who encourage, support, and pray for one another.  (1 Corinthians 12:27)

We serve a generous God!    We all have God-given spiritual gifts that He has lavished upon us for the benefit of others...those in our church and community. If you feel God’s nudge to help with Journey Care, we have a number of things to choose from.  You can do one thing or as many as you desire. Here are some of the ways you can serve:

PRAYER TEAM

•Intercessory prayer through prayer chain.
•Praying with someone via phone call.
•Praying with those during our Sunday services.
•Writing prayer cards. (Cards and stamps provided.)

FOOD TEAM
•Organizing  meals  for  those  who  just  need  a  helping  hand, due to sickness, new baby, funerals...etc.
•Set up meal trains.
•Making casseroles...to keep in stock for immediate needs.

VISITS, CALLS & ENCOURAGEMENT
•Visiting shut-ins
•Making calls.
•Writing greeting cards for different occasions.

TRANSPORTATION NEEDS
•Provide  transportation  to  and  from  church,  for  someone  who is unable to drive.

PROVISIONS   &   HELPS (For   different   circumstances   and situations.)
•Gift cards.
•Running  errands...ex:  getting  groceries  for  someone  unable to or for the elderly.
•Help with repairs around their house.

We  want  to  build  our  church  culture  that  emphasizes  taking care of one another and making sure everyone in our church is cared for. It takes all of us with the help of the Holy Spirit.
